Unbeaten TV Sales Bangers top & Alpine Bulldozers moving up

TV Sales Bangers remain the only unbeaten Serie A team in Tuesday Night footie. After a 4-0 win over PPC in week 4 they summit the table with 12 points. The pick of the week was Spar against Alpine Buildozers. A tightly fought match with a lot of interested supporters from both sides. All the woos and cheers brought on a stadium like atmosphere and with it being the last game of the night on pitch A, the final whistle blew with Alpine coming out on top with a 4-2 win.

Testing Pitch A

A number of teams gathered last night to have a run on the new pitch and get a feel for the surface. We experimented with a smaller, low bounce ball which was met with mixed reactions.

Introducing Thursday Social League

With the introduction of the artifical turf pitches we are no longer limited by the number of games that can be played on each pitch or by inclement weather. As such, we are introducing new leagues on additional nights. The first such league is the Thursday Social League which will see the introduction of bonus points and the removal of the high ball rule - headers are still not allowed. Installing the turf

[Pics] The team spent the weekend at Italian Club laying the turf in the hot sun. We made good progress and hope to start spreading the sand and rubber this week.

New Pitches - Work in Progress

Here are a few photos from the early days of the pitch renovations. They will give you a good indication of how far we have come. There is still some work to do, but the pitches will definitely be ready for the new season.

Website Update

We have recently updated the website in preparation for the new season on our new artifical turf pitches. With the addition of new leagues, you can now switch between leagues and divisions to find your fixtures and results. We have also added the ability for captains to manage their team list online and all players who submit their email address will receive a notification for upcoming fixtures. We welcome all feedback and any requests will be duly considered.

Spar Claim 2nd Champions League Title

Spar retained the Champions League Trophy for the second year in a row. They won the final 3-1 against a spirited Faithwear United Team. Raging Stallions lifted the Europa Cup after a tightly fought game with a 3-2 victory over debutants Underdogs. Alpine Bulldozers and PPC 2 claimed the bronze medals in their respective 3rd place play offs with wins against Tv Sales Bangers and Shumba Britannico.
