Galacticos came out with guns firing and displayed technical attacks in the Zambezi Cup Final last night. Raider Nation were up for it as well, as their fully deserved opposition.
The Final was played in the utmost sportsman like manner, all the way till the end.
Galacticos, earlier in the night's semi final, battled through an ill disciplined game against National Foods. Their win was convincing but really dampened by the spirit in which the game was played in.
Raider Nation sneeked a 9-8 win over Biltrans in the second semi final.
Most spectators and players watched the Final in ore of the spectacular football both Galacticos and Raider Nation were playing.
Galacticos firing 2 late goals in the space of one minute, took a 5-4 lead with 3 minutes to play. It wasn't the end. Raider Nation lead by Aadil Sirdar, held their own and vowed to not give up till the Final whistle. 30 seconds to play and Raider Nation were fouled around the Galacticos D. Players argued, Raider Nation took a quick free kick, which is fully legal, they scored and equallised. Pearson, reffing the Final brilliantly until the most crucial desicion of his reffing career came along.

Galacticos getting ready to restart from the centre and "Kudzi" , Galacticos keeper protested.
What seemed to be that the ref had given the goal, 30 seconds later after Kudzi protested, retracted his desicion and asked for the free kick to be taken again.
There was chaos. The crowd couldn't believe it. Noone knew what was going on and what had just happened.
Did Pearson give the goal?
Was the free kick taken from the wrong position?
Raider Nation were furious and rightly so.
At the end of all the chaos, no matter what was said and done and given. How angry or happy each team where, Galacticos were crowned Zambezi Cup 2016 Champions. They were really graceful in their win and what mostly stood out from all of this, was the incredible sportsmanship that Aadil and his Raider Nation team showed after the freak mistake that occured right at the death of the game.

Earlier in the night Soshari United clinched the Zambezi Cup Plate final beating Avenues United by 10 goals to 7.
