As we move into week 8 of our most competitive interesting Season of Tuesday and Thursday night social football, referees are being blamed for a lot of the disciplinary actions faced every league night.
Teams must understand that it is almost impossible to keep control of a tensely fought close game when players are screaming at the referee for "bad decisions".
Week after week certain games and individuals constantly verbally abuse the referees during and after games and FBM have no option but to enforce a "Zero Tolerance to referee abuse" to start with and have planned captain fortnightly meetings to discuss current issues and regular refresher courses for the referees to make sure they are all consistant with the regular queried rules.
FBM is asking all captains and players to bare with us in this period and act responsibly and accept certain decisions made by the referees.
We would like to propose a Captains meeting next Wednesday night(23rd March) at 6:30pm in the Pavilion. Please make an effort to attend the meeting and we can discuss current grieviences you may all be facing.
