ABCDE FC stun RED BULLS in tense clash

20 February 2016

Tuesday night ended with a tense undesirable clash between new team ABCDE FC and current League champions RED BULLS. It was almost like both teams set out to prove something and win at all costs.

Onlookers in numbers anticipated a fierce battle between Red Bulls who relinquished some players at the end of last Season and newly formed ABCDE FC who is basically made up of ex Red Bulls, Bengaz Stars and other strong outfits.

Tempers rose and one or two human refereeing mistakes crept in, making the second half an unpleasant spectacle.

Fortunately, nothing serious arose from the game and the final whistle saw ABCDE FC win the 1st encounter. Red Bulls, unhappy with some referee decisions, went away with their heads down but seemingly fired up for their next meeting later on in the Season.

In another game, Bengaz Stars were given a scare when Predators took the lead in their game. Bengaz fought back till the final minute of the game and came out eventual winners with a man down as one of their players saw red. Predators could be the team to watch in the next few weeks to come.

In serie B, Os Tugas are proving to be too strong for their League opposition with comfortable wins every week. A likely promotion is inevitable at the end of the Season.

Green Mambas and Hellas had convincing wins over PPC 2 and Real unfit respectively. Circolo Italiano came away with all 3 points with a 5-4 win over Raging Buck Borachos.
